Plaques
Plaques are a new and unique stylish method of presenting photography. The photo is mounted to a solid backing then covered with a UV scratch resistant laminate cover. The cover allows direct viewing of the photograph while protecting it, removing the need for heavy reflective glass. It also avoids the textured surface of a canvas print that reduces sharpness so that the plaques remain nice and sharp.
Framed Plaques
For those who like the look of the traditional frame I have created a plaque to suite your needs. The laminated print mounted as a flat plaque is centered on a black backing. The piece is then ready for framing! Feel free to choose your own frames at a local frame shop if you wish.

Panoramics
Panoramics vary in dimensions. Ratios vary from 1:4 to 1:2.5 and so the pricing and frame sizes will also vary accordingly. Please contact me for a cost on any specific image, listing all the prices here would take too long. For a guide line a panoramic will cost less than the equivalent standard sized print, ie a 30" print will cost less than a 20x30 print.
For example, using the cost calculation:
40x15 panoramic framed plaque (Sox Win, The Point of No return) costs $645 where as a
40x10 panoramic framed plaque (Bears Panoramic, Frozen Chicago Sunrise) costs $455
Flush, Floating and Flat Plaques
- Flush Plaques are raised with a side of approx. 1" creating a stylish finish. Flush plaques work well with all images especially panoramics.
- Floating Plaques are half way between the flush and flat plaques. Instead of having the raised section of the flush plaque on the edge it is centered behind the piece. Once hung the photograph appears to be floating off the wall.
- Flat Plaques have a slender appearance, the photograph fits flush against the wall mounted with a screw that slides into a groove cut into the back of the piece. Ideal for tighter locations such as corridors and stairwells.

Liquid Mounts
Liquid Mounts use metallic paper that is high gloss and gives a real kick to colors and great contrast. The print is mounted to the back of plexiglass. Liquid Mounts also give depth to the image in what appears to be a 3D effect.
Backed Liquid Mounts simply have the addition of a 2" black surround. The piece is floated off the backing. The backing is hollowed out to save weight but also allows the use of a French cleat system whereby a block of wood with a wedge top is attached to the wall and the piece simply rests on top. This system is very easy to hang and allows the rear of the piece to lie flat against the wall. It also allows for slight positioning adjustments from left to right

Metal
Aluminum Metal Prints have a unique, vibrant and dynamic finish. White areas in the image are absent to reveal the metal, giving a reflective shine.The brushed aluminum has a similar look to brushed the stainless steel used in high end household appliances.
Metal prints have the image printed directly to a coated aluminum sheet of metal which is then UV cured to make it extremely durable. The finish withstands sunlight and is waterproof. A black core adds rigidity to the piece but still remains light weight. Using a square bar frame on the rear the image floats off the wall and hangs on a wire.

Prints come with black borders for easy matting but may not fit to precut mats purchased from stores.

General Info
- Payment required before ordering to cover costs. Checks, Cash and Credit Cards are accepted.
- All orders come with a Certificate of Authenticity and wired for hanging.
- Any orders not collected within 3 months of completion will be returned to the racks for resale and store credit will be given.
Limited Edition Prints
Limited Edition prints increase in value as more sell. This way your purchase will gain value with time and it allows me to keep the 1st set at a low price. Limited Editions are per size per framing style, ie there will be only 30 framed plaques at 20x30 size per photo. Prices increase from the listed prices in the following increments:

Frames
All Frames are subject to availability and may require ordering. The standard frames I use are thin black metal frames, the deluxe are wide wooden black frames. My frames are basic since I am unable to match everyone’s tastes and I find that the simple black frames keep the focus on the art. I have a customer framer should you have any particular requests. You may wish to choose your own frames to fit your taste and your home decor.
Cleaning and Maintaining your Art
Photos can fade with time. However using UV glass or the UV laminate of plaques greatly increase the life of the art. The archival photo paper alone has an expected life of 75 years which can be extended if cared for by applying the following tips:
- Use UV glass or purchase plaques.
- Reduce direct sunlight exposure or exposure to intense lighting where possible.
- Excessive exposure to moisture may harm the pieces, less so for plaques.
- Hang away from heating/air conditioning vents. Sudden temperature and moisture changes can affect the pieces.
- Keep at room temperature.
Plaques only need to be wiped with a soft cloth. Make sure there are no particles such as sand on the piece before wiping or this make scratch the surface. For stubborn stains use a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth. Do not use cleaning products. Canned air helps remove dust from ledges including elaborate frames. Cleaning products such as windex maybe used on the frames only.
To clean glass simply use Windex and a soft cloth. Avoid using paper towels if possible.
Plexiglass, including Liquid Mounts, do not use ammonia based cleaners such as Windex. Special ammonia free cleaning products are available. You can also purchase plexiglass scratch removal polishes that work well. Avoid using paper towels, plexiglass is more sensitive to scratches than glass.
Glass
To better protect your print I recommend using UV glass. Non reflective glass has its benefits too, but tends to soften the detail of the photo.

Shipping
Frames are bubble wrapped and shipped in corrugated cardboard mailers with packaging tissue to fill the gap around the frame, provided to allow for impact during shipping. All mats are first packaged in clear sleeves with stiffener boards. Small mats are mailed in envelopes, 16x20 mats and larger are shipped in corrugated cardboard mailers.
Plexiglass is safer for shipping than glass. Plexiglass looks like glass but will not shatter and is accepted, if not requested, by galleries. Only 18x24 frames and smaller will be shipped with glass. All packaging costs allows for up to 3 pieces of the same size. Shipping insurance is included.

Delivery and Installation
For large pieces or large orders collection may not be feasible. If I am in your locality I am more than happy to deliver these orders to you and even to assist with installation.

How to place an order
Ordering is easy. Just let us know the piece(s), finishing style and size so we can quote you happy!
Due to Limited Edition pricing and varying image sizes such as panoramics a cart is not feasible. These steps may help you find what your heart desires:
- Browse the galleries and choose the pieces you wish to order. Adding them to "My Favorite's" may help your final decision.
- Look over the pricing guide to choose a presentation style and size.
- E-mail me your choices!
We will contact you with a quote and any other relevant information. A phone number will allow us to contact you regarding any finer details, but if it is a gift for your spouse a cell phone number and/or times to call would be wise! Credit Card info is best taken over the phone for safety’s sake.
Gift Certificates
Not sure what that special someone would like? Give the gift of a certificate! Choose an image of your choice to print on the gift card and contact us to finalize details.
Shipping
Shipping is charged at cost once the pieces are shipped. All shipments are professionally crated and if damaged will be replaced for free, please contact me as soon as possible and keep all packaging. Out of state shipping incurrs no sales tax!
